Wadi Rum has my ❤️

We are on our second half of our journey! I can't believe how fast time has just whizzed by! We started off in Wadi Rum....AMAZING! It was really hot in the desert but what else would you expect. The rock formations and colors were unreal! I felt like I was in the Pixar movie Cars when Lightning McQueen is driving through all those mountians. They just didn't look they could be real!
We saw the Seven Pillats of Wisdom.

We climes to the top of a rock bridge!

The whole day was full of adventure! The Pillars were just the beginning. When we got to out campsite, we unloaded our luggage and had Bedouin tea with the locals and our group. We then loaded up into heels for our jeep tour. It was crazy how they drive with no real roads but always now where they are going. We raced other keeps in our group. Our driver was so funny. He wanted us to call him King. 😆 Our first stop was the rock bridge, and then on the where they filmed the movie "Lawrence of Arabia". We climbed some more and took more pictures and listened to the echo of our yells off of he rocks. After Lawrenwc's house, we headed for the sand dunes. That thing was so tough to climb but a breeze to get down of course. It was cool to see how the sand moved as you moved on it. I had only really seen it in movies and it was cool to see it in real life. After the sand dunes, we headed back to camp. We got a little surprise on our way back. We saw a guy running with camels to get them in shape for the camel races they have each year. I have never seen camels run like this! It was so cool!
We got back to the camp and freshened up and got ready for supper. They cooked it in the ground! We had chicken, veggies, and rice. It was delish! Oh I almost forgot! Before supper we climbed some more rocks to watch the sunset. It was so beautiful!

That night, most of the group slept under the stars. It was much cooler outside than in our tents. I don't think I have ever seen the Milky Way so clear before. They were amazing! We woke up that morning and headed for our next stop... Petra.

Wadi Rum will forever have a place in my heart. It opened my eyes to the amazing things that nature is capable of and all the beautiful, vibrant colors that happen everyday with man having a hand in it.
